Papa Joe Comes to Town

On Monday, December 5th Michael's dad came to town to see his first grandchild. He stayed with us until the 13th. We had a lot of fun spending time with him.

While Papa Joe was in town we took Jonathan to the doctor for his two month check up. He was 22 1/2 inches (50th percentile) and 13 pounds 13.5 ounces (90th percentile). We sure do love our little chunky monkey. :)

Blessing Day

On Sunday, December 4th Michael blessed Jonathan at church. My dad, grandpa, brother Alex, and some friends were able to participate in the blessing. It was very nice. Here are some pictures of Jonathan in his cute outfit:

2 Months Old!

Jonathan turned 2 months old on December 3rd! We went up to Idaho for a family Christmas party, he did GREAT in the car. We had a blast with the family. Here are some pictures of the cute 2 month old:

Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving morning we all went out and did a 5K. My sister's coworker's family does a Turkey Trot each year to benefit Zack's Place in Vermont. We wanted to participate and donate to the cause so we made our own course starting at my parent's house. It was nice getting out and doing a 5K before coming back and eating all the turkey!

We had a great Thanksgiving day. We had so much to be thankful for. My top three are family, health, and our faith.

Lately

Jonathan has been growing and growing. We have a lot of fun! He is a good baby and eats and sleeps pretty well. Here are some pictures we have taken lately.

This is a common occurrence when we try to burp Jonathan. He is more interested in looking around than putting his head on my shoulder:

I decided because he can hold his head up pretty well we should try out the bumbo... he did well for about 10 seconds then by the time we got the camera he had slouched over:

Here he is "playing" with his keys. I always try and get him to hold toys... I was pretty excited when he grabbed on to these and swung them around!

Here he is trying out his first "tummy time." First he just sat there sucking on his arm then he started crying... he didn't love it :)

He is just like his dad... likes to sleep with his head under the covers. This is how I saw him when he was napping one day... he did it the next day too.

Jonathan's first day going to church was November 13th. Here he is with Grandpa getting all ready to go (he's ready before Grandpa got his tie on!):

Jonathan hit his 6 week mark on Monday. Time really has flown!

One Month Old!

Can you believe it? He is already a month old. He is getting so big. He enjoys his mobile and he loves to look around. He is starting to coo and make cute noises. He also is getting good at holding his head up. And he is starting to smile at us!
